Job summary

Belaire Health Care Center in Gastonia, NC is seeking an experienced Unit Manager, RN for our 80-bed skilled rehab center. You will supervise nurses and CNAs, and liaise with physicians to coordinate patient care.

The role requires RN licensure in North Carolina, 3–5 years of RN experience (preferably LTC), and knowledge of applicable regulations. Monday–Friday days with some on-call duties and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current license by the North Carolina Board of Nursing to practice as an RN.
• 3–5 years experience as an RN, preferably in long term care.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to long term care.
• Nursing management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations of the unit and supervise nurses and CNAs.
• Interface with physicians, coordinate QI reporting and follow-up.
• Provide clinical expertise to staff as needed.
• Manage care for clinically acute residents on a day-to-day basis.

Belaire Health Care Center has an exciting opportunity for a Unit Manager, RN in our 80 bed skilled rehab center in Gastonia.

The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. This unit provides care for our most clinically acute patients and residents. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.

Requirements:

• Current license by the North Carolina Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum three to five years of experience as an RN, preferably in long term care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.
• Nursing Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
