Job summary

Skilled Healthcare Center in Delray Beach, FL is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead our nursing team and ensure high-quality resident care. You will oversee day-to-day operations, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support staff through mentorship and supervision.

This role requires an active Florida RN license and prior supervisory experience in long-term care or rehabilitative settings.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• 6+ months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing with day-to-day operations.
• Ensure nursing staff adhere to established policies and job descriptions.
• Address and report resident or staff complaints and grievances.
• Oversee daily unit operations and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Minimize overtime and agency usage through effective staff management.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to professional and non-professional nursing staff.
• Attend and contribute to interdisciplinary meetings and committees.
• Cover nursing responsibilities on weekends and holidays as needed.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives and nursing skill development.
• Oversee MDS completion and ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards.
• Collaborate on discharge planning with residents, families, and care teams.
• Participate in staff recruitment and onboarding efforts.
• Promote a compassionate, resident-centered care environment.
