Job summary

Excelsior Care Group's Boca Circle Rehabilitation Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Unit Manager (RN) to lead the Nursing Department, support the DON and ADON, and ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

This full-time day shift role requires an active Florida RN license, 2+ years supervisory experience, and strong leadership. The position includes occasional on-call weekends and a competitive salary range of $75,500–$87,500 per year.

Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered Florida RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and evaluating daily nursing operations in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Supervise nursing staff, ensuring adherence to job responsibilities, facility policies, and professional standards.
  • Participate in state and federal surveys and inspections.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and updating of resident care plans.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs.
  • Implement progressive discipline, including verbal and written counseling when necessary.
  • Participate in hiring, probationary reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and nursing leadership regarding resident care concerns.
  • Ensure adequate staffing coverage to maintain quality care on all shifts.
  • Conduct routine rounds to assess staff performance and compliance with nursing standards.
  • Review and investigate resident complaints and grievances, reporting findings to the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Welcome and assist newly admitted residents to ensure a smooth transition into the facility.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
  • Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide direct nursing care as needed.
  • Assist with resident assessments and care planning.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation by licensed nursing staff.
  • Oversee emergency equipment checks and controlled substance counts.
  • Ensure rooms are prepared for admissions and maintenance requests are completed.
  • Manage unit supplies and equipment to support resident care needs.

Boca Circle Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager (RN) to join our leadership team.
