Job summary

Resorts at Chester River Manor in Maryland seeks an RN Unit Manager to oversee resident care, mentor nursing staff, and drive clinical excellence across our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community.

The ideal candidate holds a Maryland RN license, has at least two years of nursing experience (long-term care preferred), and prior supervisory experience. You will lead for quality, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure compliance with CMS standards.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of CMS regulations and Maryland nursing regulations.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and GNAs.
• Ensure residents receive exceptional care in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans.
• Monitor documentation, assessments, treatments, and medication administration for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct clinical rounds and proactively address resident and family concerns.
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
• Assist with quality assurance, infection prevention, risk management, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Investigate incidents, complete follow-up documentation, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Assist with staff education, coaching, and performance improvement.
