Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN required; RN licensure in state of practice; BLS from American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and 1 year RN experience.
• LPN experience in acute care for 2 years also acceptable; preferred: 2 years RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Treats critical injuries, allergic reactions, and trauma.
• Assesses patient needs and responds to medical emergencies.
• Organizes, plans, supervises, and coordinates patient care within the unit.
• Supervises, develops, and evaluates assigned nurses and technicians.
• Promotes adherence to nursing protocols and evidence-based practice.
• Manages shift conflicts and collaborates with unit leadership.
• Supports daily clinical operations including scheduling and supplies.
• Adapts communication to patient population and privacy needs.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
