Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and 2 years of clinical experience required.
• Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification through PQF or NCC required within 6 months of completing intermediate fetal monitoring.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts; capable of leading as a team leader.
• Experience with staffing, scheduling, payroll and budget considerations.

Responsibilities

• Act as leader and clinical liaison with staff, physicians and management.
• Assist managers with hiring, orientation, monitoring and evaluating performance.
• Coordinate department staff schedules and staffing needs to meet budgets.
• Provide mentorship and ongoing feedback to staff; participate in recruitment and retention efforts.
• Serve as a resource for staff questions and department processes; ensure safe environment and quality standards.
• Lead and participate in governance meetings and staff development plans.
