Job summary

Bronson Battle Creek Hospital is seeking an experienced Unit Coordinator (RN Supervisor) for Medical Surgical Oncology on the Night shift. Under the unit manager direction, you will provide leadership, ensure policy adherence, and coordinate day-to-day operations to support safe patient care.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Michigan RN license, and at least 2 years of clinical experience; Master's preferred and prior management experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and 2 years of clinical experience required
• Master's degree in Nursing preferred
• Previous management experience preferred
• Formal or informal leadership experience preferred
• Education/experience level may differ for the specific department/unit
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing (State of Michigan)

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and clinical liaison with staff, physicians and management to ensure continuity of leadership
• Assist managers with hiring, orientation, and evaluating performance; staffing, payroll and budget duties as needed
• Serve as a contact for internal and external customers and maintain a safe environment of care
• Mentor staff and provide ongoing feedback on job performance; promote teamwork and adherence to standards
• Coordinate department staffing and scheduling and adjust to meet volumes and budget targets
