Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (Department Float) in Battle Creek for a full-time position (80 hours per pay period) in the Hematology and Oncology unit. The RN will manage care using the nursing process, coordinate with the healthcare team, and document patient responses and needs during each shift.

Requirements include an Associate's degree in Nursing, Michigan RN licensure, BLS, and BC/BSN timelines if applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; must obtain within 8 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for Michigan.
• BSN within 8 years of hire if not already.
• BLS certification required by core orientation.
• Critical care or ALS certifications may be required for some RNs.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and situation.
• Assess patient’s physical and developmental needs.
• Document nursing history and age-appropriate needs/strengths.
• Coordinate discharge planning and plan of care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with approved nursing techniques.
