Job summary

United Church of Christ Homes is seeking an RN Unit Coordinator to supervise daily care and conduct rounds to ensure care plans reflect resident wishes. The role includes transcribing orders, administering meds, and maintaining controlled substances records, with shift reports and ongoing resident assessments.

This position requires a Diploma or Nursing Degree and PA RN license, plus leadership and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Nursing Degree from an accredited school, college or university.
• Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
• Must be able to summarize and relate information concerning a resident's condition; learn basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day care and conduct rounds to ensure completion of work per care plans and resident wishes.
• Receive and transcribe physician orders; order, prepare, and administer meds and treatments; maintain accurate controlled substances records.
• Report any discrepancies; receive and give change of shift reports; complete resident assessments and participate in care plan and discharge planning.
• Ensure ongoing assessments of residents' condition; observe for side effects, pain, emotional status, and changes in condition; notify physician as appropriate.
• Assist RN Unit Coordinator with documentation and other duties as assigned.
