Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking a registered nurse to assist physicians by triaging patient calls, educating patients, and managing EMR charting. The role involves coordinating patient care, and supporting clinical protocols as required.

You will assess symptoms remotely or in person to determine treatment priority. The RN will also manage inventory, participate in safety programs, and assist with policy adherence and staff orientation.

Qualifications

• Current NYS RN registration and license.
• Infection Control Certificate.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Triage patient telephone and EMR inquiries; determine appointment need and document symptoms.
• Contact patients to communicate test results per physician guidance.
• Record medical information in the EMR as instructed by the physician.
• Oversee inventory of supplies and assist with cost control as needed.
• Attend trainings and ensure infection control compliance; disseminate policy updates.
