Job summary

Floyd Healthcare Management, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse for a 36-bed General Surgery/Trauma Step-Down Unit. You will care for patients recovering from complex surgeries and traumatic injuries in a collaborative environment that supports growth and autonomy.

Responsibilities include clinical assessment, care planning, safety, and timely documentation in the EHR. Requires RN licensure in Georgia, BLS, and typically 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license in Georgia or eligible via compact.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and ensure accurate care delivery.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Communicate effectively and delegate appropriately to team members.
• Pursue professional development and maintain certifications.
• May float to other units as needed and provide age-appropriate care.
