Job summary

Floyd Healthcare Management, Inc. seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a 36-bed General Surgery/Trauma Step-Down Unit in the United States.

You will care for patients recovering from complex surgical procedures and traumatic injuries, working in a collaborative team that supports growth and autonomy. Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact and/or single-state license.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
• BLS certification.
• May require licensure in the state(s) where clients are located.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and contributes to unbiased patient care.
• Appropriate delegation to RN, LPN, and UAP as needed.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care and align with department policies.
