Qualifications

• RN licensed professional nurse with current licensure in applicable states or compact state.
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• Familiarity with EMTALA and patient transfer protocols.

Responsabilités

• Facilitates, tracks and documents hospital transfers in a customer-centric Transfer Center.
• Responds to calls quickly, demonstrates good customer service and manages the call queue.
• Collaborates with facility based on services, geography, capacity and approvals.
• Follows protocols and EMTALA requirements in transfer processes.
• Relays patient condition and ETA to prepare receiving physicians and units.
• Maintains accurate database of transferred patients from referral to admission.
• Develops relationships with hospital staff and affiliate partners for SSM Health.
• Performs duties per ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and maintains professional standards.
