Job summary

Memorial Health System in Gulfport, MS seeks a Transfer Center Coordinator to oversee system-wide patient placement, streamline transfers, and support clinical decision-making for movement of patients. The role partners with the patient placement nurse, room control staff, registration, EMS, and leaders to ensure timely, safe transfers across all facilities.

The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with at least 1 year of acute care experience, familiar with Cerner EHR and capacity management

Qualifications

• RN licensure required and acute care background.
• RN degree from an accredited school of nursing (associate or bachelor).
• Experience with transfer processes or transfer center is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support usage of electronic health system software to facilitate patient movement across hospitals.
• Train staff and maintain compliance with EHR, decision trees, workflows and clinical decision support.
• Provide real time data and status to leadership and generate actionable reports.
• Collaborate with leaders across campuses to ensure smooth system processes and patient-centric movement.
