Sentara Health is seeking a RN Transfer Center Bedflow Coordinator in Norfolk, VA. This full-time role (36 hours/week) operates on a swing shift from 3PM to 3AM at the Fort Norfolk Transfer Center.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient transfers, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring timely patient placement across the system. The position requires RN licensure with experience in ICU/ED or Transfer Center and a strong acute care background.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and valid state nursing license.
• Experience in ICU, ED, or Transfer Center settings.
• Recent acute care clinical background required.
• Ability to multitask, document accurately and type efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient transfers across the system.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for timely patient placement.
• Communicate capacity management plans to units, leadership, and physicians.
• Maintain clinical standards and operate in a fast-paced environment.
