Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for our orthopedic unit. The 52-bed unit opened in 2018 and provides trauma and elective orthopedic care with multidisciplinary support. The role offers a Clinical Ladder program with salary increases up to 20% based on performance and advancement.

Schedule is full-time, day shift, 7:00 am–7:00 pm, with 36 hours per week. Requirements include RN license, BLS, ACLS, and a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).

Qualifications

• RN license required
• BLS and ACLS required
• BSN preferred
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred
• Fluent in English reading/writing
• Proficient with basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications per orders and monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and communication.
• Document patient information and outcomes in medical records accurately.
