Job summary

Orlando Health's Elective Orthopedics & Spine Unit – 26 Beds, a Level I Trauma Center, seeks an Ortho Spine Registered Nurse. You will provide inpatient care for elective knee/hip arthroplasty and spine surgeries, with a focus on mobility, pain management, and safety.

The role covers assessment, care planning, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and discharge readiness. Florida RN license and BLS are required; ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC may be required for certain areas; 1 year of

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s needs and develops/revises an individualized plan of care based on patient needs and responses.
• Evaluates the patient’s progress toward attaining expected outcomes.
• Functions as a patient and family advocate.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to effectively plan and manage the unit/department.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
