Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current Florida RN license and BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• 1 year Ortho Neuro or Med Surg RN experience required.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
• Meets mandatory and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with complex assessment and therapies and high-intensity interventions.
• Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
• Monitor and interpret patient data and adjust plans of care accordingly.
• Coordinate care and delegate tasks to team members on assigned patients.
• Document care accurately meeting regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to plan and manage units.
• Serve as a patient/family advocate and census bed management when needed.
• Participate in staff development and nursing leadership activities.
