Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN - Tele nurse for a 13-week nights assignment in Washington. The 18-bed unit handles 1:4 to 1:5 patient ratios with telemetry patients, including medical oncology, CHF, diabetes, UTIs, sepsis, hypertension, and COPD. EPIC experience is a must; nurses titrate drips and manage cardio care.

Must hold WA or Compact license and BLS; Bio/Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required. 2+ years of nursing experience is expected in this acute care setting.

Qualifications

  • EPIC experience required; at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
  • WA or Compact license required.
  • BLS certification required; Bio/Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required.
  • 2 years of nursing experience minimum; 13-week assignment in Telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

  • Titrate IV drips and manage cardiovascular medications.
  • Read and interpret cardiac strips; monitor patient status.
  • Collaborate with charge nurse and house supervisor; assist in unit operations.
  • Float coverage as needed and adhere to 1:4 to 1:5 patient ratios.

Must-Have: EPIC experience is a must; at least 1 year of clinical experience required

Description:Unit consists of 18 beds.Patient ratios are 1:4 to 1:5.Common diagnoses include medical oncology with medical-surgical overflow patients such as CHF, diabetes, UTIs, non-critical sepsis, hypertension, and COPD.Registered Nurses are required to titrate drips.Comfort care medication drips and limited heparin and Cardizem drips (up to 10 mg/hr) are included.Nurses will read cardiac strips pending approval of the position.There will be a charge nurse or house supervisor present.Nurse aides will be available on the unit with a ratio of 1:9.RT equipment includes CPAP and BiPAP; Hi-Flow is not available.Weekend requirements will be based on unit needs and demands.Floating may be required in the event of staffing needs in like departments.The dress code is professional.The unit will have a specific orientation period of 2-3 shifts.This is a brand-new department opening soon.Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the 13-week assignment.Charting will be done using the EPIC system.A BSN is not required for this position.This role is within an acute care setting.
