Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an RN for a 13-week MS Telemetry assignment in Chandler, AZ. Expect a 12-hour night shift with 36 hours per week, 4 weekends every 4 weeks, and major/minor holidays on rotation. The unit is 30-beds with Charge Nurse on duty and SWAT RN support at night.

Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications are required. Reading strips and passing a dysrhythmia exam prior to start is essential.

Description:Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit with 30 beds.Charge Nurse on duty, does not take patients.Unit Supervisor available.Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) on days, one PCT or SWAT RN to task at night.Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period, one major and one minor holiday.Scrub Color: Navy.Telemetry monitors are GE.There is a central monitoring station technician.CPAP vents may be used.In-house hospitalist or intensivist must be called.No IV team, but a house SWAT Nurse is available for hard IV sticks.Respiratory Therapy available 24/7.Pharmacy services available 24/7, with ICU Pharmacist on days.Common diagnoses include general and ortho trauma stepdown patients.Patients may have chest tubes, drains, or wound vacs.Little to no traction patients.Amiodarone and Cardizem may be titrated down only.Peritoneal dialysis patients managed by contract dialysis.1:1 PCT sitters utilized for confused patients, with soft restraints for line pulling.Spectralink phones for communication are used.Cancellation policy allows for cancellation of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.Charting system in use is Cerner.Shifts run from 7 PM to 7 AM.Floating may occur to other telemetry units.Floor-specific orientation includes 2 shifts.Ratios are 1:4, for days and nights.Additional notes are provided upon orientation.
