Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to provide safe, patient-centered care as a professional leader on our clinical team.

The RN will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care for patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures, coordinating with other hospital staff. The role requires current Texas RN licensure (BSN preferred), BLS, and unit-specific certifications; weekend/holiday/on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• One year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care.
• Must adhere to the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, attend required training, and report issues to Compliance Officer.
• RN licensure (Texas or compact state) with current license or permit; BSN preferred, and ability to maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate nursing care for patients admitted or seen for medical/surgical conditions.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with policies and standards.
• Oversee nursing staff and interface with hospital departments to resolve patient care concerns; weekend/holiday/on-call work may be required.
