Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse responsible for managing patients and providing professional leadership in nursing care. The RN will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate care in alignment with facility policies and standards, while coordinating with hospital teams to resolve patient care concerns.

Availability for weekend/holiday/on-call shifts may be required. Ideal candidates hold a TX RN license (or compact state) with BSN preferred; must maintain BLS and may need ACLS

Qualifications

• Texas RN license required (or compact state license) and active; new graduates with permit may practice in TX.
• BSN preferred.
• Must have and maintain BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within specified timeframe if unit requires it.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures; provide professional leadership to the healthcare team.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with policies and philosophy.
• Oversee and guide nursing staff under their supervision; collaborate with hospital staff and ancillary departments.
• Ensure safe, competent nursing care and uphold service-excellence standards at all times.
• Occasional weekend, holiday, evenings, nights, or on-call status may be required.

Education

Texas RN license (or compact state)

BSN preferred

Associate/Bachelor/Diploma in Nursing

BLS certification

ACLS certification within unit timeframe
