Job summary

ChildServe in Iowa is seeking an RN Team Lead to coordinate pediatric care with a multidisciplinary team. You will ensure staff follow care plans, document accurately, and precept new hires, while promoting high-quality clinical practice and patient safety.

This leadership role requires two years of pediatrics nursing experience, Iowa RN/LPN license, BLS within 90 days, ability to lift 35 lbs, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Two years of nursing experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation, or with children with complex medical conditions.
• Current valid license as an RN or LPN in Iowa.
• BLS certification within 90 days and before working independently.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and be mobile within the work area.
• COVID-19 safety requirements may apply.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff document accurately, completely, and timely.
• Serve as a preceptor and ensure newly hired staff are competent to provide care.
• Manage staff performance and develop staff skills, talents and knowledge.
• Ensure supervised staff are current with all unit and ChildServe specific information.
• Address stakeholder feedback effectively, respectfully, and professionally.
• Ensure environment is maintained according to regulatory requirements.
• Provide direct care as assigned.
• Ensure adequate qualified staff to meet the needs of children within defined clinical model.

Job description

RN Team Lead will be responsible for ensuring the clinical needs of each child are implemented through support of a multidisciplinary team approach to clinical care. This leader is also directly responsible for ensuring staff are engaged in their work and participating effectively as a team. The successful candidate will have two years of nursing experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation and/or with children with complex medical conditions.

Schedule

• Schedule may include evening and weekend coverage based on department needs, with potential schedules of Wednesday through Sunday or Friday through Sunday, 6:00am to 6:00pm.

What You'll Do

What You'll Need

• 2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation and/or with children with complex medical conditions.
• Current valid license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Iowa
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 90 days and before working independently.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.

• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
