Job summary

Henry Ford Staffing, based in Detroit, seeks a Registered Nurse – System Float Med/Surg to provide comprehensive nursing care across multiple units in a flexible float pool. You will assess patient needs, develop effective care plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions in a dynamic hospital setting.

This role offers night shifts, a contingent schedule of 72 hours per month, and opportunities to gain diverse experience across departments within Henry Ford Health System.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of related clinical nursing experience.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS, NRP, and EFM where required.
• Up-to-date TB and vaccine requirements (e.g., flu).
• Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and identify nursing problems proactively.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment.
• Perform a comprehensive range of professional nursing services across units.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and hospital staff.
• Adapt quickly to different clinical environments while maintaining quality.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge to address complex nursing situations.
