Job summary

Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, developing individualized care plans, delivering professional nursing services, and coordinating with physicians, therapists, and other staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of related clinical nursing experience in the area of interest.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS, NRP, and EFM where required.
• Up-to-date TB and vaccine requirements (e.g., flu).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and identify nursing problems proactively, often before explicit changes in vital signs or clinical indicators become apparent.
• Develop and implement individualized, effective nursing care plans based on clinical assessment and patient-specific needs.
• Perform a comprehensive range of professional nursing services across medical and surgical patient populations.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary hospital personnel to ensure coordinated care.
• Adapt quickly to different clinical environments while maintaining consistent quality of care across multiple unit assignments.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge and analytical thinking to address complex nursing situations and patient care challenges.
