Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an RN to join our System Float Med/Surg pool. Under general supervision, you'll provide nursing care across multiple units, assess patients, and deliver evidence-based interventions in a dynamic hospital setting.

We offer flexible scheduling, opportunities to work across locations, self-scheduling, and competitive pay with benefits. Two years of clinical nursing experience and Michigan RN licensure required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of related clinical nursing experience in the area of interest.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS, NRP, and EFM where required.
• Up-to-date TB and vaccine requirements (e.g., flu).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and identify nursing problems proactively, often before explicit changes in vital signs or clinical indicators become apparent
• Develop and implement individualized, effective nursing care plans based on clinical assessment and patient-specific needs
• Perform a comprehensive range of professional nursing services across medical and surgical patient populations
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary hospital personnel to ensure coordinated care
• Adapt quickly to different clinical environments while maintaining consistent quality of care across multiple unit assignments
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge and analytical thinking to address complex nursing situations and patient care challenges
