Job summary

Henry Ford Health Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for System Float Med/Surg to support multiple medical and surgical units across the Henry Ford Health system. The role involves night shifts and is contingent on 72 hours per month, with placement across zones and hospitals outside of the chosen zone.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Two years of related clinical nursing experience in the area of interest.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM where required.
• Up-to-date TB and vaccine requirements (e.g., flu).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and proactively identify nursing problems.
• Develop and implement individualized, effective nursing care plans.
• Perform a comprehensive range of professional nursing services across medical and surgical units.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and hospital staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Adapt to different clinical environments while maintaining consistent quality across assignments.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge to address complex nursing situations.
