Job summary

Capitol Hill Healthcare in Montgomery, AL is seeking an RN Supervisor for our Skilled Nursing Facility to oversee nursing care, ensure regulatory compliance, and support a high standard of resident safety and well-being. You will lead RNs, LPNs, CNAs, coordinate care plans, conduct assessments, mentor staff, and participate in care conferences.

Weekend shifts required; strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure.
• Strong clinical knowledge in assessment, care planning, and medication administration.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing homes and SNFs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Coordinate and oversee nursing care, develop and update individualized care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and communicate findings to the team.
• Provide ongoing education, training, and mentoring to nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and facility policies; monitor documentation and infection control practices.
• Collaborate with the nursing scheduler and management on staffing levels and schedules.
• Oversee medication administration and ensure proper documentation and storage.
• Foster effective communication within the healthcare team and with residents' families.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
