Job summary

Apple Rehab Rocky Hill is seeking an experienced RN Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead our nursing team in a 100-bed skilled nursing center near Rocky Hill, CT. The role focuses on planning, oversight, and compliance across shifts, with per diem availability for weekend on-call coverage.

Requirements include an active state RN license, prior supervisory experience, and knowledge of long-term care regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state RN license and be a Registered Nurse in good standing.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Attention to detail, good follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Demonstrates cooperation and ability to work as a team.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and execute nursing services while complying with regulations.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities to ensure high-quality care.
• Collaborate with the Nursing Director to plan operations and emergency support provisions for shifts.
• Coordinate nursing activities with medical requirements and care plans.
• Direct charge nurses to ensure residents receive proper care.
• Adjust care plans with medical staff for emergencies.
• In absence of superiors, RN Supervisor makes operating decisions.
• Ensure adequate relief staff before leaving and notify physicians of changes.
