Job summary

PACS in Poway, California is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise day-to-day nursing activities during your tour of duty and ensure the highest quality of resident care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.

You will assist the Director of Nursing, participate in policy and quality assurance activities, supervise nursing staff and aides, and help plan and coordinate resident care across shifts in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• 2 years or more experience preferably in a long-term care facility.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities to ensure quality care.
• Assist in directing nursing services and coordinating with other departments.
• Develop, maintain and update Nursing Service policies and procedures.
• Ensure Nursing Service procedures manual is current and followed.
• Participate in facility quality assurance programs and surveys.
