Job summary

Apple Rehab West Haven, a 90-bed skilled nursing facility located at 308 Savin Avenue, West Haven, CT, is seeking an RN Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead weekend nursing services and ensure compliant, high-quality resident care. The role requires a valid CT RN license, prior supervisory experience, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach with the Nursing Director.

Compensation is competitive at $60 per hour with weekend blocks.

Qualifications

Current state RN license and in good standing.
Previous supervisory experience.
Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, oversee, and execute nursing services for residents while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Supervise day-to-day nursing activities to guarantee top-quality care.
Collaborate with the Nursing Director to strategize nursing service operations and emergency support provisions.
Coordinate nursing activities with medical requirements and physician directives.
Direct charge nurses to ensure residents receive proper care.
Adjust care plans in collaboration with medical staff for emergency needs.
In the absence of superiors, RN Supervisor makes operating decisions as needed.
Ensure relief staff availability before leaving the facility and notify physicians of significant changes.
