Job summary

Noland Health Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to lead nursing operations on designated units, ensuring care aligns with care plans, policies, and physician orders. You will supervise LPNs, MACs, and CNAs, coordinate resident activities, and maintain thorough documentation and reporting.

The ideal candidate holds an Alabama RN license, CPR certification, and strong computer skills, with the ability to make independent decisions and oversee daily nursing duties.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Alabama.
• Must possess current CPR certification.
• Must have computer skills and be able to use appropriate software.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing functions of LPNs, MACs and CNAs on designated units.
• Provide resident care including assessments, care planning, treatments, medications and other nursing activities.
• Communicate with physicians and nursing staff regarding residents’ status and plans.
• Make rounds with physicians and document care and treatment as indicated.
• Review and transcribe physician orders and ensure they are executed.
• Meet with residents and families as necessary and report issues to the supervisor.
• Complete medication pass audits and report discrepancies to nursing leadership.
• Complete forms and reports and coordinate resident activities with staff.
• Report all discrepancies and issues regarding resident care to nursing leadership.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
