Job summary

Noland Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise licensed practical nurses, medication assistants, and certified nursing assistants on assigned units in Birmingham, AL.

The nurse will ensure care is delivered per the resident's plan of care and facility policies. The role requires RN licensure in Alabama, CPR certification, and ability to coordinate care, document responses, and communicate with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Alabama with CPR certification.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of skilled nursing facility experience.
• Proficient computer skills required.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day nursing functions of LPNs, MACs and CNAs on designated units.
• Provide resident care including assessments, care planning, treatments, medications, and documentation.
• Communicate with physicians and nursing leadership regarding resident status and admissions.
• Make rounds with physicians and document care and treatment as indicated.
• Review and transcribe physician orders and ensure execution of orders.
• Meet with residents or families and report issues to the Supervisor.
