Job summary

Noland Health Services, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct resident care and supervise LPNs, MACs and CNAs.

The role ensures care is delivered per individualized plans and facility policies, under physician orders. The RN will participate in rounds with physicians, document treatments, review orders, coordinate admissions, and perform medication audits while maintaining communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work with licensed staff and coordinate care.
• Proficiency with computer software and resident record systems.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing functions of LPNs, MACs and CNAs on designated units.
• Provide resident care per care plans and physician orders; document responses.
• Communicate with physicians and staff regarding resident status and admissions.
• Make rounds with physicians and document care and treatment.
• Review and transcribe physician orders and ensure execution.
• Meet with residents or families as needed; report issues to Supervisor.
• Complete medication pass audits and report discrepancies.
• Complete forms and reports; coordinate resident activities and new admissions.
• Report discrepancies or issues to nursing leadership.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
