Job summary

Apple Rehab Farmington Valley is seeking an RN Registered Nurse Supervisor to join a 130-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located on Farmington Avenue in Plainville, CT. Shifts include Part-time 3p-11p, Part-time 11pm-7am, and Per Diem across various hours.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state RN license and be in good standing.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to cooperate and work as a team.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee nursing services for residents.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities to ensure high-quality care.
• Collaborate with the Nursing Director to strategize operations and emergency coverage.
• Coordinate nursing activities with medical requirements and physician directives.
• Direct charge nurses to ensure proper resident care.
• Adjust care plans with medical staff for emergencies.
• Assume operating decisions in absence of superiors.
• Ensure relief staff availability and notify physicians of significant changes.
