Job summary

Piedmont Medical Network - Fort Mill Hospital is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to oversee patient care, staffing, and fiscal goals in collaboration with the Director. The role requires clinical leadership and ongoing competency across ages and needs, with a focus on service excellence and staff development.

The supervisor will guide educational needs, participate in PI monitoring, and ensure safe patient care in a dynamic hospital environment within Fort Mill, SC.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates flexibility in responding to unpredicted situations, such as emergencies, assignment and staffing or schedule changes.
• Responds to crisis situations with confidence and clarity, delegating as appropriate to others on the team.
• Sets priorities independently, prepares assignments and duties at the beginning of each shift, adjusting and delegating as situations change on the unit as needed.
• Supports the growth and development of nursing personnel by facilitating assessment of educational needs on an ongoing basis.
• Takes an active role in educating staff when a need and/or opportunity is identified.
• Assists with evaluation and improvement of patient care by assuring an ongoing unit-based quality-monitoring program to include development and implementation of PI monitors and reports.
• Delegates shift duties appropriately including but not limited to chart checks, defib/refrigerator logs, abnormal lab follow up and documentation, cleaning and stocking rooms, checking rooms for outdated supplies, pulling trash/linen as needed
• Performs related duties as required.
