Job summary

WILLIS NURSING & REHABILITATION is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee daily nursing operations in a long-term care setting. The RN will supervise CNAs and other staff, ensure adherence to physician orders and care plans, and coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.

The role requires excellent patient-care skills, strong teamwork, and the ability to maintain regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing and be licensed by the state.
• Ability to supervise other staff and work cooperatively to achieve resident-care objectives.
• Ability to interact positively with residents, families, and regulatory agencies; collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
• Willingness to work long or irregular hours, including evenings and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations for assigned unit; supervise CNAs and staff; set priorities and ensure quality resident care.
• Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes; assess and monitor residents' status; coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; ensure charting is complete and accurate.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans; participate in in-service training and staff orientation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory policies; maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
