Job summary

Ciena Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide, oversee, and coordinate resident care during assigned shifts in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care plans while ensuring the highest degree of quality care and safety.

The RN supervises and supports LPNs, CNAs, and other team members to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
