Job summary

The Alden Network in Bloomingdale, IL, is seeking an experienced nurse leader to supervise daily nursing activities and provide direct resident care as needed. You will ensure quality care, regulatory compliance, and a calm, supportive department environment.

Applicants must hold an active IL/WI RN or LPN license, CPR certification, and exhibit strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with physicians, families, and staff. This is a full-time on-site role in a licensed facility.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN or LPN license in IL and/or WI.
• Current CPR certificate or obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with customers, family, visitors, personnel, and the public.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and work harmoniously with staff.
• Must be personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily nursing activities performed by the nursing staff.
• Ensure adherence to established policies and state/federal guidelines.
• Provide direct nursing care to residents when required.
• Directly supervise and instruct staff on topics to promote knowledge.
• Ensure department policies, procedures, and dress code are followed.
• Assist in developing a written plan of care for each resident.
• Attend care plan conferences and participate actively.
• Report concerns or complaints to the Administrator.
• Counsel/discipline nursing personnel as needed.
• Make rounds to verify duties, and observe care quality.
