• Must hold current, unencumbered RN/LPN license in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
• Must have CPR certification or obtain within two weeks.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Interest or knowledge in elder care.
• Must read/write/speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Ability to interact tactfully with diverse people.
• Leadership and supervisory ability.
• Personable, enthusiastic and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Accept and support directives from appropriate authority.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct care for unit.
• Direct nursing procedures following established policies.
• Supervise and instruct nursing staff to promote knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with dress code and department policies.
• Develop written plan of care for each customer.
• Attend care plan conferences as directed.
• Report concerns to the Administrator.
• Chart nurses' notes reflecting care and patient response.
• Complete required assessments during admission, transfer, discharge.
