The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Mohawk Valley is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead daily patient care, coordinate nursing staff, and collaborate with physicians. The role emphasizes both clinical oversight and emotional support for patients and families.

The ideal candidate holds NYS RN licensure and has LTC or medical/surgical experience, with at least one year in supervision. Flexible scheduling and strong leadership support are offered in a dynamic facility.

Position Overview:

The RN Supervisor at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Mohawk Valley plays a vital role in promoting and restoring patients' health. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and long-term planning of patient care, overseeing staff, collaborating with physicians, and providing both physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify patient service requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual patients, as well as others in a position to understand service needs.

• Complete patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing staff.

• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.

• Provide information to patients and the healthcare team by answering questions and addressing requests. Resolve patient needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulations. Seek assistance from other healthcare professionals as needed.

• Protect patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies, enforcing medication administration, and ensuring compliance with controlled substance regulations.

• Maintain patient confidentiality by monitoring the secure processing of confidential information.

• Ensure proper documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records.

• Oversee medical and administrative equipment by verifying the availability of emergency equipment, completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating repairs.

• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem-solving.

Requirements:

• Current NYS RN Licensure (BSN preferred but not required).

• Minimum two years of experience in Long-Term Care or medical/surgical settings.

• Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
