Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for our Detox Unit in North Stonington, CT. You will provide continuous care, collaborate with the treatment team and administer medications as ordered.

This 24-hour-per-week role requires CT RN licensure and at least one year of mental health or substance abuse experience, with weekend and holiday rotations and possible overtime.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing with a current State of Connecticut RN License.
• Minimum of one year experience in Mental Health or Substance Abuse preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays; overtime may be required.

Responsabilités

• Assess clients upon admission and as needed; transcribe and implement physician orders.
• Assess withdrawal using approved scales and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Set measurable goals and interventions; administer medications and treatments.
