Zusammenfassung

SCADD, Inc is seeking a compassionate per-diem Registered Nurse to provide nursing services and medically monitor clients in our Detox facility in Southeast Connecticut. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, reporting to the Nurse Manager, and serve as the primary nurse for individual clients, coordinating care and guiding recovery.

Responsibilities include assessments, admissions, care plans, education for clients and families, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in nursing or related health care field, or six months to one year of related experience.
• Current State of Connecticut DPH Registered Nurse license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, external providers, clients and families.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize critical tasks.
• Commitment to SCADD's values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice.

Aufgaben

• Perform initial nursing assessments and document ongoing client assessments.
• Perform client admissions.
• Develop, implement, record, and evaluate nursing care plans.
• Supervise nursing care and provide direct physical care as needed.
• Act as a primary nurse and coordinate treatment for individual clients.
• Execute medical regimens prescribed by the physician.
• Educate clients and families about health, illness, and post-discharge plans.
• Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies.
• Participate in orientation and knowledge transfer for new staff.
