Job summary

Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services (UHS), announces an opening for a Licensed Clinician in the Detox unit of its North Stonington location. The role involves conducting risk assessments, treatment planning, and delivering individual and group therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The Licenced Clinician will handle psycho-educational groups and family services while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing high-quality mental health care.

Qualifications

• Independent licensed professional required for clinical practice.
• Two years mental health counseling experience with substance abuse population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family and group therapy and psycho-educational groups.
• Provide crisis intervention services to clients as needed.
• Coordinate and contribute to diagnostic, case reviews, and treatment team meetings.
• Complete documentation evidencing treatment, including Assessment and Treatment Plans.
• Develop discharge plans and aftercare planning with intake and assessment.

Education

Independent license (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, LADC, licensed psychologist)
