Job summary

Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Detox Unit in North Stonington, CT. This role supports the treatment team with continuous care, nursing assessments, and medication administration, fostering a therapeutic environment for clients.

The position requires weekend and holiday shifts and may include overtime. Salary ranges from $44.00 to $55.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits under UHS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing with a current State of Connecticut RN License.
• Minimum of one year experience working in the Mental Health or Substance Abuse field preferred.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• May be required to work overtime and holdover shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients thoroughly upon admission and as needed; transcribe and implement physician orders.
• Assess clients withdrawing from substances using facility approved assessment scales; develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Set behavioral, observable, and measurable goals and develop effective interventions to help clients achieve their goals.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
