Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is seeking a Stroke & Trauma Coordinator under the Director of Emergency Services. The role centers on quality assurance, setting goals, implementing Stroke Center Certification and Trauma Designation policies, and coordinating across ED, labs, imaging, and nursing to optimize patient care.
The coordinator will organize multidisciplinary services, develop training for ER/ICU staff, and lead ongoing staff education aligned with certification standards.
Under the direction of the Director of Emergency Services, the Stroke & Trauma Coordinator is primarily responsible for quality assurance and for developing goals and objectives, as well as implementing department‑wide policies and procedures related to Stroke Center Certification and Trauma Designation. The Coordinator coordinates with the Emergency Department, nursing units, laboratory, radiology, and other support departments that impact the delivery system. She or he is responsible for organizing the services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach throughout the continuum of care and for the orientation/training of staff in the ER/ICU and in relation to the Stroke Center Certifications and Trauma Designation.
