Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking an experienced RN to lead the Stroke & Chest Pain quality program. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, EMS, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, evidence‑based care and regulatory compliance.

You will monitor metrics, coordinate program development, and drive performance improvements while serving as a visible leader in surveys, policy updates, and staff education.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in NC is required.
• 3–5 years experience in stroke and/or chest pain care.
• Experience with accreditation and certification survey processes.
• Knowledge of heart and/or stroke patient care and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Lead, chair, and facilitate Stroke and Chest Pain Committee meetings.
• Monitor accreditation, certification requirements, and compliance.
• Oversee program development, staff education, and performance improvement.
• Conduct daily chart reviews and communicate findings to units.
• Analyze data, report monthly trends, and ensure data entry accuracy.
• Prepare for Joint Commission and State Health Department surveys.
• Develop, revise, and implement policies and order sets.
• Support nursing documentation and EHR quality initiatives.
• Deliver broader education across staff, providers, and community.
