Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System in North Carolina is seeking an RN Stroke & Chest Pain Quality Coordinator to lead program development, oversight of accreditation, and continuous quality improvement across stroke and chest pain care.

You will collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, EMS, and diagnostic teams to ensure timely, evidence-based care, monitor metrics, and prepare for Joint Commission surveys while educating staff and advancing best practices.

Qualifications

• RN with NC licensure to practice in North Carolina.
• 3–5 years of stroke and/or chest pain patient care experience.
• Experience with accreditation and certification survey processes (Joint Commission).
• Care and treatment of heart and/or stroke patients; ongoing continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Lead Stroke and Chest Pain Program and Coordinator with oversight of accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, EMS, telemedicine, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory and quality standards.
• Chair monthly Stroke and Chest Pain Committee meetings and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement stroke/chest pain programs, staff education, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Perform daily concurrent chart reviews and communicate findings to units and providers.
• Review and report performance data monthly and ensure timely data entry into databases.
