Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with the healthcare team. The RN will follow the nursing process from assessment to evaluation and participate in quality improvement and discharge planning.

Qualifications include an accredited nursing program graduate with a Virginia RN license (reciprocal state acceptable), 2 years acute care RN experience, and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current RN license in Virginia or reciprocal compact state.
• Two years of recent RN acute care experience.
• BSN preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR and NIHSS (Bluecloud) required at hire.
• Additional certifications required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinate patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
• Communicate the plan of care to other health care team members.
• Assist leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement.
• Participate in performance improvement and hospital committees.
• Provide patient-centered care at Mary Washington Hospital and Stafford Hospital locations.
