Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN experience.
• Valid RN license (Virginia or compact state).
• BSN preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) required at hire.
• 2 years of recent RN acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with licensed/unlicensed staff using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient/family involvement and discharge planning.
• Communicate the plan of care to health team members.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Act as point of contact on unit policies and procedures.
• Contribute to daily operations for a safe patient/staff environment.
• Provide input on unit needs to the Nurse Manager.
• Participate in committees for nursing and hospital policy development.
